Getting Started

How do I get started with ZentisLabs?

Sign up for a free business account, purchase bandwidth, and grab your API key from the dashboard. You can make your first proxy request in under 5 minutes. See our Quick Start guide for a step-by-step walkthrough.

Do I need to install any software?

No. ZentisLabs proxies work via standard HTTP/HTTPS, and mobile proxies also support SOCKS5. You connect using your existing HTTP client, browser, or scraping tool - just configure it with our proxy endpoint and your credentials.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Verify your email and get 100 MB of Residential Basic free to test our proxy network (eligibility checks apply). No credit card required. You can purchase more bandwidth at any time from the dashboard.

What programming languages are supported?

Any language that supports HTTP requests works with our proxies. We provide integration guides for Python, Node.js, and Go, plus setup guides for Scrapy, Selenium, Puppeteer, and Playwright.

Proxy Types

What's the difference between residential and datacenter proxies?

Residential proxies use real ISP-assigned IPs from home users, making them appear as regular internet users. Datacenter proxies use IPs from data centers - they're our fastest option but more likely to be detected by sophisticated anti-bot systems. For the lowest per-GB price, choose Residential Light (from $2.39/GB).

When should I use ISP proxies?

ISP (Static Residential) proxies combine the trust level of residential IPs with the speed and reliability of datacenter proxies. Use them for account management, long-running sessions, and any task where you need a consistent, trusted IP.

Are mobile proxies really worth the higher price?

Yes, for specific use cases. Mobile proxies (4G/5G) have the highest trust level because carrier-grade NAT means thousands of real users share the same IP. This makes them virtually impossible to block. Ideal for social media, sneaker sites, and heavily protected targets.

Can I mix proxy types?

Absolutely. Many customers use datacenter proxies for speed-critical, low-risk tasks and residential or mobile proxies for sensitive targets. You can switch proxy types per request by using that type's proxy host and credentials.

Configuration

How do rotating sessions work?

By default, each request gets a new IP address. The proxy gateway automatically assigns a different exit node from the pool for every connection. No configuration needed - this is the default behavior.

How do I keep the same IP across multiple requests?

Use a sticky session by adding a session ID to your proxy credentials. On Light and Basic it goes in the password after the country, e.g. PASSWORD_country-us_session-abc123 (Basic can also set a length, e.g. PASSWORD_country-us_session-abc123_lifetime-30m). On Advanced it goes in the username, e.g. USERNAME-country-us-session-abc123-sessionduration-30. All requests with the same session ID route through the same IP; the sticky lines generated in the dashboard or API point at a single gateway IP, so use them as-is. Mobile and datacenter sticky lines are chosen when you generate them, and ISP IPs are static.

Can I target specific cities or states?

Yes, on the Light and Basic residential plans. Add the state, and optionally its city, to your password after the country: PASSWORD_country-{cc}_state-{state}-city-{city}. Example: PASSWORD_country-us_state-california-city-losangeles. Names are lowercase without spaces, and a city always needs its state. Advanced supports country targeting only. For mobile proxies, pick the city when you generate them in the dashboard. Available granularity varies by country.

What's the difference between HTTP and SOCKS5?

Residential proxies use HTTP/HTTPS only: HTTPS sites are tunnelled end-to-end via CONNECT, so it covers web scraping, APIs and browsers, and the residential gateways refuse SOCKS5. Mobile proxies also support SOCKS5 on the host and port of your generated line. Datacenter and ISP proxies: use HTTP/HTTPS. If a tool only accepts SOCKS5 and you use residential proxies, run a local bridge as shown in the SOCKS5 docs.

Billing & Limits

How is bandwidth calculated?

Bandwidth is measured as the total data transferred through the proxy (request + response bodies, headers included). Both upload and download count. Purchased bandwidth never expires.

What happens when I exceed my bandwidth?

When your bandwidth runs out, proxy requests will stop working. Simply purchase more bandwidth from the dashboard, or switch on auto-refill to keep traffic flowing - there are no overages or surprise charges.

Can I buy more bandwidth at any time?

Yes. ZentisLabs uses a pay-as-you-go model: purchase bandwidth in the amount you need, whenever you need it - it never expires. The more you buy at once, the lower your per-GB price.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes. Every per-GB product has nine volume tiers from 1 GB to 1 TB, and at 1 TB you pay about half the 1 GB price - Residential Light drops from $4.79 to $2.39/GB.

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit cards, processed securely through Stripe.

Security & Compliance

Is my data encrypted?

HTTPS traffic is. You connect to the proxy gateway over plain HTTP with proxy authentication. HTTPS sites are tunnelled end-to-end via CONNECT, so the gateway never sees decrypted HTTPS traffic; requests to plain-HTTP sites are not encrypted. We do not log, inspect, or store the content of your requests, and account passwords are stored hashed.

Do you log my browsing activity?

No. We don't store the content of your requests. We only keep what billing needs, such as the bandwidth each product has used.

Can I restrict access to my API keys?

Each account has one API key with full API access; scoped or restricted keys are not available yet. Keep the key server-side and regenerate it in Settings if it may have leaked - the old key stops working immediately.

What's your compliance posture?

Our platform is hosted in European data centers, all API and dashboard traffic is encrypted with TLS, and our 99.9% uptime SLA for proxy gateways is set out in our Terms. Our privacy policy explains how we process personal data.

Technical

What's the average response time?

Datacenter is the fastest, followed by ISP, then residential and mobile, which route through real home and carrier connections. Actual times depend on target server location and load. Use geo-targeting to minimize latency.

How many concurrent connections can I have?

There are no plan tiers to upgrade: you pay per GB, whatever your concurrency. Scale up gradually while watching your error rates. The REST API allows 3,000 requests per minute per API key.

What countries do you support?

195+ countries for residential proxies, 100+ for mobile, and 8 for ISP (United States, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Japan, Italy, France, Hong Kong). Datacenter proxies are targeted by country too. The dashboard lists every country available for each product.

Do you support IPv6?

No. IPv6 proxies are not offered.
