Getting Started

How do I get started with ZentisLabs?

Sign up for a free account, purchase bandwidth, and grab your API key from the dashboard. You can make your first proxy request in under 5 minutes. See our Quick Start guide for a step-by-step walkthrough.

Do I need to install any software?

No. ZentisLabs proxies work via standard HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 protocols. You connect using your existing HTTP client, browser, or scraping tool — just configure it with our proxy endpoint and your credentials.

Is there a free trial?

Every new account receives free bandwidth to test our proxy network. No credit card required. You can purchase more bandwidth at any time from the dashboard.

What programming languages are supported?

Any language that supports HTTP requests works with our proxies. We provide integration guides for Python, Node.js, and Go, plus setup guides for Scrapy, Selenium, Puppeteer, and Playwright.

Proxy Types

What's the difference between residential and datacenter proxies?

Residential proxies use real ISP-assigned IPs from home users, making them appear as regular internet users. Datacenter proxies use IPs from data centers — they're faster and cheaper but more likely to be detected by sophisticated anti-bot systems.

When should I use ISP proxies?

ISP (Static Residential) proxies combine the trust level of residential IPs with the speed and reliability of datacenter proxies. Use them for account management, long-running sessions, and any task where you need a consistent, trusted IP.

Are mobile proxies really worth the higher price?

Yes, for specific use cases. Mobile proxies (4G/5G) have the highest trust level because carrier-grade NAT means thousands of real users share the same IP. This makes them virtually impossible to block. Ideal for social media, sneaker sites, and heavily protected targets.

Can I mix proxy types?

Absolutely. Many customers use datacenter proxies for speed-critical, low-risk tasks and residential or mobile proxies for sensitive targets. You can switch proxy types by changing the endpoint or username parameter per request.

Configuration

How do rotating sessions work?

By default, each request gets a new IP address. The proxy gateway automatically assigns a different exit node from the pool for every connection. No configuration needed — this is the default behavior.

How do I keep the same IP across multiple requests?

Use sticky sessions by appending -sessid-{id} to your username. For example: customer-USERNAME-cc-US-sessid-abc123. All requests with the same session ID route through the same IP. Sessions expire based on the proxy type (10 min for residential, unlimited for ISP).

Can I target specific cities or states?

Yes. Use the username format: customer-USERNAME-cc-{CC}-state-{state}-city-{city}. Example: customer-USERNAME-cc-US-state-california-city-losangeles. Available granularity varies by country.

What's the difference between HTTP and SOCKS5?

HTTP proxies work with HTTP/HTTPS traffic (port 8080). SOCKS5 proxies support any TCP/UDP traffic (port 1080) — useful for non-HTTP protocols. For standard web scraping and API calls, HTTP proxies are slightly faster. Use SOCKS5 for custom protocols or when HTTP ports are blocked.

How is bandwidth calculated?

Bandwidth is measured as the total data transferred through the proxy (request + response bodies, headers included). Both upload and download count. Purchased bandwidth never expires.

What happens when I exceed my bandwidth?

When your bandwidth runs out, proxy requests will stop working. Simply purchase more bandwidth from the dashboard — there are no automatic overages or surprise charges.

Can I buy more bandwidth at any time?

ZentisLabs uses a pay-as-you-go model. Purchase bandwidth in the amount you need — it never expires. Volume discounts are available for larger purchases. Contact sales for enterprise pricing.

Do you offer volume discounts?

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal, SEPA direct debit, and wire transfer. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Security & Compliance

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. All connections to our proxy gateway use TLS encryption. We do not log, inspect, or store the content of your requests. Your credentials are encrypted at rest.

Do you log my browsing activity?

No. We only log metadata for billing purposes: timestamp, bandwidth consumed, response status code, and proxy type used. We never log URLs, request bodies, or response content.

Can I restrict access to my API keys?

Yes. You can scope API key usage and configure settings from the Dashboard under Settings → Security.

What's your compliance posture?

ZentisLabs takes security and privacy seriously. Our infrastructure is hosted in European data centers with 99.9% uptime SLA. We are fully GDPR-compliant with end-to-end encryption and audit logging.

What's the average response time?

Datacenter: 50–150ms. ISP: 100–300ms. Residential: 200–800ms. Mobile: 300–1200ms. Actual times depend on target server location and load. Use geo-targeting to minimize latency.

How many concurrent connections can I have?

Depends on your plan and proxy type. Concurrent connections are unlimited for most plans. Each concurrent connection is an active request in progress. Completed requests free up the slot immediately.

What countries do you support?

195+ countries for residential proxies, 25+ countries for ISP, 20+ for mobile, and 20+ for datacenter. See the Country Targeting page for the full list of available locations.

Do you support IPv6?

Yes. IPv6 proxies are available for datacenter and ISP proxy types. Specify -ipv6 in your username or use the dedicated IPv6 endpoint. IPv6 pools are smaller, so availability varies by country.
